A selkie is a seal that comes ashore and takes off its skin to be a person for a while, then puts it back on and goes back to sea. That's roughly the idea here: small AUv3 plugins for iOS that turn one thing into another, made by one person who actually uses them on stage.

Selkie Hum

Sing or hum into it and it plays whatever MIDI instrument you point it at, about 20 ms behind your voice. Runs inside Loopy Pro, AUM, or any Host that takes an AUv3 effect.

Why

I build these because I needed them.

One thing each

No kitchen sinks.

Each plugin does one job and does it well. If I want a second job done, that's a second plugin.

Readable on stage

Big, from a distance.

The window a Host gives you is small and you're a metre away from it. So the things you need mid-song are big, and the things you set once are tucked below.

Nothing phones home

No accounts, no network.

None of these plugins make a network request. There's nothing to sign in to and nothing to sync. Your audio stays in your Host.
